Remember the outrage over Mike Vick killing those dogs? Do you sense the same outrage over the death of Trayvon Martin? Because we don’t. Instead we see “Trayvon Martin” shooting range targets being sold, thousands of dollars being raised for George Zimmerman’s defense and people being upset that this story continues to make news.

At the same time, I have a question/challenge for our community: Do we care more about Trayvon Martin being killed by a non-black than we do about when Ray-Ray kills Deshawn?
Because I do believe the outrage regarding Trayvon is well deserved, but I don't sense the same outrage over the thousands of senseless killing of young black males by other young black males.
Finally, if we fail to value the lives of these young black males, how can we expect so-called mainstream America to value the Trayvons?
I'm just asking...
The question you posed is one I've been pondering myself. When I read about blacks being killed by blacks, it sickens me just as much as if the killer had been white. The one measure I can think of that would provide an answer to your question is if black on black crime got national news coverage. Then we'd see if blacks overall were engaging in selective outrage.
