It's not personal Sonny, it's strictly business.
The GOP thugs -- or as Al Gore called them Political Terrorist -- continue to hold our country's economy (and the world's economy) hostage until their ransom demands are fulfilled. Kill Obamacare or else we blow up the economy!
This is how they see fit to govern.
Are their demands in the best interest of the American public? Are their demands reasonable? Are their demands rooted in what is good for business?
No, not even the least bit. Contrary to the classic Godfather line above:
It's strictly personal, it's has nothing to do with business.
The GOP party, remade in the image of Rush Limbaugh and dominated by Tea Party lunatics, hate President Obama. They are committed not to governing, they are committed to destroying the presidency of President Barack Obama. They are committed to being government surrogates for the Birch Society billionaire Koch brothers (their father was a founding member).
After over 5 years or trying to scare the American public about the ACA (Affordable Care Act or Obamacare) the GOP has been frustrated by:
- March 23, 2010 signing of the law
- June 2012 Supreme Court (majority conservative) upholding the law
- November 2012 re-election of President Obama
The congress has spoken;
The courts have agreed;
And the people have re-issued a ACA mandate.
After exhausting all reasonable avenues, the GOP has opted to become Political Terrorist and threaten to jack up our economy.
