The absurdity of a nine year old handling a high power weapon -- a WMD -- with not only parental consent but with parental urging is beyond crazy.
This is why we have the term gun nuts.
A 9-year-old girl vacationing with her family accidentally shot and killed an instructor at a shooting range, authorities said.
The shooting happened at 10 a.m. Monday at Arizona Last Stop, a tourist spot southeast of Las Vegas.
According to the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office, the instructor – identified as Charles Vacca, 39 – was standing next to the girl, teaching her how to use an automatic Uzi. The girl’s parents stood nearby, capturing video of the experience.
As the girl pulled the trigger, the recoil caused her to lose control of the gun, with Vacca accidentally shot in the head, the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office said. Vacca was flown to University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. source
This tragedy is not about 2nd Amendment rights: it's about the absence of good ole fashion commonsense, parental neglect and range owner irresponsibility.
As a result of this collective act of stupidity, we have the friends and family of the victim suffering from an unspeakable accident; and not to mention, a young child that will most likely be scarred for life.
All this for a family selfie?
These are the same folks (both the family and the gun range management) that clamor the loudest about their rights to own and use WMD. They decry any and all commonsense gun regulations as government tyranny.
Well we see why these folks oppose commonsense gun laws, they are severely commonsense challenged.
