Eric Holder liberal reformer resigns as Attorney General

The announcement of Attorney General Eric Holder resigning, as expected, has created two polar opposite reactions.

On the left end of the spectrum, Holder is regarded as a fearless advocate for justice.

Whether the issue is voter's rights, judicial sentencing fairness, federal oversight on police abuse cases or defending gay rights, Holder has made a distinct impression as a liberal reformer.

Additionally, Holder, who relishes his role as a progressive leader, has foraged into racially sensitive topics his boss -- President Obama -- treads very lightly.

While Obama is unmercifully attacked by the GOP noise machine for even the most benign statement on racial justice, the wrath of the right has not deterred Holder. He wears it as a badge of honor.

Speaking about the right, they bid Holder adieu with a collective:

"Don't let the doorknob hit ya where the good lord split ya"

And Fox Nation being Fox Nation issued the following critique of Holder by way of a clueless mouth piece:

"Eric Holder Ran DOJ Like It Was The Black Panther Party" source

And our favorite mouth of hate radio, Rush Limbaugh, declared that the motive behind Holder's resignation is to make him (Holder) a more attractive Supreme Court nominee (BTW not a bad idea).

"It would be much easier for Eric Holder to make the jump from private sector law firm rainmaker after six years at DOJ to the Supreme Court, than from DOJ straight to the Supreme Court," Limbaugh said on his radio show Thursday.

"I don't think there's any scandal. I don't think it's Fast and Furious. I don't think he's worried about the Republicans investigating anything if they win the Senate," Limbaugh added.

Ok, whatever...

Anyway, just alone judging by right wing vitriol: Great job Eric Holder! You pissed off the right people -- the party of angry white men.
