The hate that hate produced

Pastor Clementa Pinckney
"No, you've raped our women, and you are taking over the country ... I have to do what I have to do."

These are the words of that wretched soul that killed nine blacks praying in bible study at Emmanuel AME Church in Charleston, SC.

Overt racism is back in season

After praying with them, he calmly took out his weapon of choice -- Glock 45 -- and completed his murderous rampage. His unspeakable actions has many people not Muslim, African-American, Asian or Latino asking: How could this happen? or Where did he learn all of this hate?

What is inconceivable to some Americans is very blatantly obvious to many. A virulent racist virus has re-infected many Americans already suffering from a less potent form of this disease. Case in point, just read an excerpt of Donald Trump's announcement to run for president:

"They (Mexico) are not our friend, believe me...The U.S. has become a dumping ground for everybody else's problems...When Mexico sends its people, they are not sending their best. They are not sending you. They are sending people that have lots of problems, and they are bringing those problems to us. They are bringing drugs and they are bringing crime, and they're rapists."  Donald J Trump

While he was rightly mocked and ridiculed by many, Trump received no backlash from Republicans, Tea Party folks, conservatives, hate radio or Fox Nation. Quite the contrary, he was enthusiastically welcomed as a guest on Fox by Bill O'Reilly to spew more hate speech.

The genesis of the Tea Party, as we know it today, was rooted in the election of the first non-white president. Their rhetoric fanned the flames of the dormant racism embedded in many Americans by pandering to their most primal fear -- the ascent of non-white people in the world.

For heaven's sake, TP favorite Michele Bachman practically compares President Obama to the anti-Christ (as has many folks of her ilk).

Former Minnesota Congresswoman Michele Bachmann recently declared that the end is near – and it’s all thanks to President Barack Obama.

“We need to realize how close this clock is to getting towards the midnight hour,” the Republican firebrand and 2012 presidential candidate told radio host Jan Markell of the end of days. “The events have picked up such a pace and are going to continue it’s just like the Bible forewarned, in the last days it will be like the beginning of birth pangs. In my opinion, we are far beyond the beginning of birth pangs.” source

This constant bombardment of dehumanizing hate triggers (pun attended) the George Zimmermans, Officer Billy Bobs and random serial killers into lethal action against unarmed men and women of color.
