Tucker: Trump is coming for your guns

In a revealing turn of fate, Trumpeteer and acolyte, Tucker Carlson publicly broke with DT on gun control.

Tucker (usually Trump's minister of propaganda via Fox News) strongly admonished Trump for seemingly endorsing common sense gun control legislation.


When opining on how to use protective measures against dangerous domestic abusers or people with severe mental health issues owning gun arsenals, Trump commented: "take the guns first, go through due process second."

Tucker, extreme gun rights advocate, passionately retorted on his show:

“How honest do you want to be? Imagine if Barack Obama had said that? Just ignore due process and confiscating guns? Obama would have been denounced as a dictator. We would have denounced him first, trust me. Congress would be talking impeachment. Some would be muttering secession.”

First insight: By rightly describing the over-the-top right-wing response if Obama issued these comments, Tucker is actually exposing the right-wing double standard that exists during the Trump era. It also shines a light on the conservative fake outrage of anything Obama.

Just imagine:

What if Obama was married three times and had three children from three different women? What if Obama's lawyer paid hush money to a porn star named Stormy Daniels? What if First Lady Michelle Obama modeled naked for a magazine? What if Obama mused or joked about being president for life? What if Obama bragged about grabbing women by their private parts? What if a Russian dictator (make no mistake that is what Putin is) talked about his nukes threatening U.S. and Obama picked a twitter war with a Hollywood actor?

Second insight: Tucker has never demonstrated one scintilla of due process concerns and regards when unarmed African-Americans are gunned down in the street by over-zealous shoot first ask questions later police. Where is their due process or right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness?

They (conservatives) have a high tolerance for Trump BS but the Trump spell will be broken by any suggestion of gun control. The White House has since backpedaled on this position. Message received.
