Eagles ran a fake walk-through in case Patriots were spying?

 One week later:

I am still floating on cloud nine because the NFL Gods allowed my Philly Eagles to escape Super Bowl purgatory.

And of course, a shout out goes to the great coaches and players that embodied the spirit of fictional Rocky; or more accurately, channeled the indomitable spirit of the legendary North Philly boxer Joe Frazier.

Fly Eagles Fly.

In a bizarre twist to this Philadelphia Story: It has been reported that the Eagles brain trust -- from the once bitten, twice shy school of thought -- decided to stage a fake pre-Super Bowl walk through practice in case Patriot spying eyes were watching.

The Eagles were so paranoid about the Patriots spying on their Super Bowl practices, they held a fake walk through at U.S. Bank Stadium before the game to throw off any potential espionage.
Philly long snapper Rick Lovato told a Tampa radio station this week the Eagles were super-secretive about plays they practiced, including the legendary “Philly Special,” just in case the Patriots were watching.
“We had run that play during a walk-through like two weeks ago,” Lovato told 620 WDAE, adding the Eagles did not practice certain plays on purpose because they were so paranoid.
“I believe our whole walk-through was just a complete fake walk-through,” he said. “We did it at the stadium. There were certain people walking around ... I believe I overheard someone say a lot of the plays we were running weren’t even in the playbook for the Super Bowl.”  source
I may add: Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you. The Patriots -- via coach Bill Belichick -- have a much earned and deserved reputation for cheating. Hence, well done Coach Doug Pederson for leaving no stone unturned -- the 2005 Eagles believed spying eyes cost them that SB against the Patriots.
